Background

As a professional proofreader I see my role as being a part of a team. My goal is to assist you in publishing your project so that is shines in the best possible light.

Experience

I am a volunteer with Distributed Proofreaders working on proofreading works for Project Gutenberg.
I've completed a course with Proofreading Anywhere, which ensures I have the education necessary to form a great partnership with my clients.

I have over 20 years of Information Technology project management experience. In those positions, I was able to translate complex terminology into language that could be understood by non-technical clients.
I have been an avid reader of fiction from the time I learned to read. I find myself especially aware of errors in the books I read, and I bring that hyper-awareness to my business.

In My Spare Time

I am a 60-ish woman living with a yorkie-poo named Libby. I love to read, which considering my professions, is a good thing. I also love to scrapbook, art journal and knit. I'm a hobby knitter and, to-date, I've knitted six scarves. That's it. Just scarves! I am also a gamer, both video and tabletop games--any game really. I am part of a creative team responsible for a weekly podcast about Dungeons & Dragons. My role is as an audio editor, which is challenging but fun. I edit the audio for errors, add sound effects, and voice effects. I'm on a tight timeline, and always hit my deadline.
